The 88th meeting of the Shariah Supervisory Committee of Shahjalal Islami Bank PLC was recently held at the boardroom of the bank’s corporate head office. The meeting was presided over by the committee’s esteemed Chairman, Maulana Mufti Shahed Rahmani. Discussions focused on ensuring full compliance with Shariah principles in all aspects of the bank’s operations.

Among others present were committee members Maulana Mohammad Sadekul Islam, Dr. Mufti Yusuf Sultan, and Maulana Shah Mohammad Wali Ullah; the bank’s Managing Director, Mosleh Uddin Ahmed; Company Secretary, Md. Abul Bashar; Chief Financial Officer, Md. Zafar Sadeq, FCA; and Head of the Shariah Secretariat, Maulana Md. Farid Uddin.

As customary, the meeting began with the recitation from the Holy Qur’an, and concluded with a special prayer seeking the continued prosperity and welfare of the bank.
