Recently, a photocard carrying the logo of mainstream media Jamuna TV, titled “Emergency meeting of Army Chief Waker-uz-Zaman with Indian Embassy”, has been circulated on social media.

Fact-check
Rumor Scanner’s investigation found that Jamuna TV did not publish any photocard or news with the title of an emergency meeting between the Army Chief and the Indian Embassy. Instead, the false claim is being spread by digitally editing and imitating the design of the media outlet.
At the beginning of the investigation, the circulated photocard was observed, which shows Jamuna TV’s logo and the date of publication as August 31, 2025.
Based on this information, a review of Jamuna TV’s recently published photocards on its Facebook page found no photocard with such a headline. In addition, no news or information on this claim was found on the media outlet’s website. Even other national media also carried no such report.

Moreover, in observation, the font of the circulated photocard was found to be different from the regular fonts used in Jamuna TV’s photocards.
In other words, the circulated photocard was created by imitating the design of Jamuna TV’s photocard.
Regarding the photo used in the photocard, investigation found it in 2022 reports of several Indian mainstream media (The Hindu, Economic Times). According to those reports, on August 11, 2022, then Lieutenant General Waker-uz-Zaman met India’s Defence Secretary Ajay Kumar in New Delhi. At that time, he was serving as Principal Staff Officer of the Armed Forces Division of Bangladesh. Mr. Waker took charge as Army Chief on June 23 last year.
