NCC Bank PLC has donated 1,000 umbrellas to members of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program.
At a ceremony held at the Ministry of Home Affairs, NCC Bank Chairman Md. Nurun Newaz Salim symbolically handed over an umbrella to Senior Secretary Dr. Nasimul Gani. Deputy Managing Director Md. Zakir Anam and Head of Corporate Affairs and Communications Division Md. Anwar Hossain were also present.
Dr. Gani expressed gratitude to the bank, saying the gesture would inspire other corporates to contribute more to social welfare.
Highlighting the bank’s broader commitments, Chairman Salim said NCC Bank has long been engaged in socio-economic development alongside its banking operations. “We are not only profit-focused, but also committed to supporting education, healthcare, agriculture and community welfare,” he noted. The umbrella distribution, he added, is a continuation of that effort.
