Stocks Open Higher on DSE and CSE

Major indices rally; most shares edge up in early trade

Bangladesh’s capital markets opened on a strong note Tuesday, with both Dhaka and Chattogram bourses gaining ground in the first hour of trading.

On the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), the benchmark DSEX advanced 46 points, while the Shariah-compliant DSES gained 11 points and the blue-chip DS30 rose 9 points.

Of the 303 issues traded, 219 moved higher, 24 declined, and 60 remained flat. Turnover crossed Tk170 crore within the opening hour.

The Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) also maintained positive momentum, with its broad index adding 57 points. Out of 48 companies traded, 37 gained, 8 slipped, and 3 stayed unchanged, generating a turnover of around Tk1.20 crore.
