Al-Arafah Islami Bank PLC held a discussion meeting on Hajj Management with representatives of Hajj agencies in Dhaka on Monday, aiming to strengthen services for Bangladeshi pilgrims, the bank said in a press release.
Managing Director (Current Charges) Mohd. Rafat Ullah Khan attended as chief guest, while Hajj Agencies Association of Bangladesh (HAAB) Secretary General Farid Ahmed Majumder and Vice President Hafez Nur-Mohammed joined as special guests. The session was chaired by the bank’s Deputy Managing Director Md. Fazlur Rahman Chowdhury.
Other senior executives, including Deputy Managing Directors Md. Abdullah Al-Mamun, Md. Asaduzzaman Bhuiyan, and Mohammed Hossain, along with SEVP Engr. Md. Habib Ullah, Akter Kamal, branch managers and Hajj agency owners, were also present.
Addressing the event, Mr. Khan said the bank has been prioritising the welfare of pilgrims since its inception. “Dedicated Hajj desks, deposit schemes, special Hajj cards, camp booth services and other facilities are provided in each branch. We see Hajj service not only as banking but as a sacred duty, ensuring fast and quality services through technology-driven management,” he noted.
