Rupali Bank has introduced a new service allowing expatriate Bangladeshis to deposit remittances directly into their loved ones’ bKash accounts, offering instant transfers round the clock, seven days a week.

The state-owned lender launched the service on Monday from its head office in Dilkusha. Managing Director Kazi Md Wahidul Islam inaugurated the initiative, calling it a step toward making remittance transfers faster and more convenient.

With the new arrangement, migrants can send their hard-earned money through Rupali Bank’s partner exchange houses abroad, and beneficiaries in Bangladesh will receive it instantly in their bKash wallets. Officials said the move is expected to open a “new horizon” in foreign remittance inflows.

Senior officials from both Rupali Bank and bKash were present at the launch, including deputy managing directors, general managers, and heads of remittance and IT divisions.
