Eastern Bank PLC (EBL) will act as the sole banking partner to implement and operate Chattogram City Corporation’s (CCC) new digital holding tax collection system.
Dr. Shahadat Hossain, Mayor of Chattogram, and Ahmed Shaheen, Additional Managing Director of EBL, signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) for the project recently.
The digitized system aims to make holding tax payments more efficient, transparent, and convenient for residents, reducing manual processes and improving overall service delivery.
Senior officials from both EBL and the city corporation attended the signing ceremony, underlining the partnership’s significance in modernizing municipal revenue collection.
