Lankabangla Securities PLC participated in a two-day “AI Essentials for Capital Market Professionals” training organized by the Institute of Research, Innovation, Incubation, and Commercialization (IRIIC) of United International University (UIU) in collaboration with AI Forum Bangladesh. The program concluded yesterday at the UIU Innovation Hub.
The training, the country’s first real-life AI program for capital market professionals, drew 30 officials from Lankabangla Securities. Its focus was to equip participants with practical AI skills applicable to financial operations, risk management, trade execution, and strategic decision-making.
Top executives, including Managing Director Mohammed Nasir Uddin Chowdhury, CEO Khandoker Saffat Reza, CTO S.A.R. Md. Muinul Islam, Senior GM Mohammad Amir Hossain, and AGM Md. Jahangir Hossain, attended along with staff from management, digital transformation, accounts and finance, institutional and foreign trade, risk management, operations, trade execution, branch operations, and capital market research departments.
Prof. Khondaker A. Mamun, Director of the MSCSE Program and IRIIC at UIU and Founder of AI Forum Bangladesh, led the sessions. Through hands-on exercises, interactive discussions, and practical demonstrations, he showed participants how AI-driven solutions can be applied to real-world capital market scenarios.
Participants said the training enhanced their understanding of how AI tools can improve operational efficiency, support data-driven decision-making, and strengthen risk management practices in the financial sector.
