Eastern Bank PLC (EBL) has partnered with bKash Limited, the country’s largest mobile financial service provider, to introduce automated 24/7 cash management services for bKash’s nationwide network of agents, distributors, and partners.

Under the agreement, bKash partners maintaining accounts with EBL will gain access to round-the-clock fund transfers, instant settlements, and improved liquidity management, according to a media release.

The new service will allow partners to operate seamlessly without the limitations of conventional banking hours, supporting greater efficiency in fund handling and enhancing financial inclusion.

The partnership agreement was signed at EBL’s Head Office in Dhaka by Ahmed Shaheen, Additional Managing Director of EBL, and Moinuddin Mohammed Rahgir, Chief Financial Officer of bKash, in the presence of senior officials from both organisations.

“This collaboration reflects our commitment to building a smarter digital ecosystem for our customers,” said Ahmed Shaheen. “By enabling bKash agents and distributors to manage cash seamlessly 24/7, we are helping strengthen financial inclusion and accelerate Bangladesh’s digital transformation.”

Echoing the sentiment, Moinuddin Mohammed Rahgir said, “bKash has always prioritised convenience and efficiency for its partners. Partnering with Eastern Bank, a trusted leader in corporate and retail banking, will help us ensure uninterrupted financial services for millions across the country.”
