NRBC Bank holds Shariah Supervisory Committee meeting

NRBC Bank PLC has held a meeting of the Shariah Supervisory Committee of its Al-Amin Islamic Banking Window at the bank’s head office recently.

The meeting was presided over by Sayed Mohammad Mosaddek Billah Al-Madani, Chairman of the Shariah Supervisory Committee, according to a press release.

Committee members Md. Obaidul Hoque and Hafiz Mufti Saiful Islam, Managing Director and CEO Dr Md Touhidul Alam Khan, Head of the Al-Amin Islamic Banking Window Md Abdul Gofur Raana, and other senior officials were present at the meeting.

Shariah Supervisory Committee reviewed various matters concerning the bank’s Al-Amin Islamic Banking Window, focusing on its operations and compliance with Shariah principles.

During the discussion, Chairman Sayed Mohammad Mosaddek Billah Al-Madani said Islamic banking is not only a financial activity but also a reflection of ethics and accountability.

He advised ensuring strict compliance with Shariah principles in every transaction and investment.

He also gave guidance on improving the quality of Shariah-based banking services, enhancing customer satisfaction, and ensuring full implementation of Islamic financial principles.
