National Bank launches Remittance Cash Payment Automation system

National Bank PLC has inaugurated its revolutionary ‘Remittance Cash Payment Automation’ system, describing it as a bold leap forward in digital transformation, according to a press release.

The launch ceremony took place on November 25, at 4PM at the Bank’s Head Office, where the Managing Director Mr. Adil Chowdhury officially unveiled the new system by cutting the ribbon. Senior leadership, including the Deputy Managing Directors and all Divisional and Departmental Heads, were present, while Branch and Sub-Branch Managers across the country joined live online.

In his remarks, Managing Director Mr. Adil Chowdhury emphasized the transformative nature of this milestone, “With the introduction of Remittance Cash Payment Automation, National Bank has taken another significant step toward technology and modernization. From now on, customers will be able to receive remittance funds sent by their loved ones from any Branch or Sub-branch of National Bank in the shortest possible time. Additionally, this automated process will ensure complete accuracy and the fastest reconciliation.”

The new system is set to dramatically enhance the customer experience for millions of remittance beneficiaries, ensuring faster turnaround, improved service quality, and hassle-free remittance payment nationwide.

At the event, Deputy Managing Director-Incharge Mr. Kazi Kamal Uddin Ahmed and Head of Foreign Remittance Division & Retail Liability Department Mr. Milton Roy highlighted the Bank’s expanding technological capabilities and reaffirmed National Bank’s strong performance and leadership in the remittance sector.
