Prime Bank CEO Hassan O. Rashid steps down

Faisal Rahman named acting chief, subject to central bank approval

Hassan O. Rashid has resigned as managing director and chief executive officer of Prime Bank, the bank said in a regulatory filing.

The board accepted his resignation at a meeting on February 10. The decision was disclosed on Sunday through the website of the Dhaka Stock Exchange.

According to the filing, Rashid’s resignation will take effect on March 31, 2026, subject to final approval from Bangladesh Bank.

To ensure leadership continuity, the board has appointed Additional Managing Director Faisal Rahman as acting CEO, effective from April 1, 2026, pending regulatory clearance.
