The Bangladesh Jewellers Association (BAJUS) raised gold prices by Tk 3,266 per bhori on Wednesday, the first day of April, citing a rise in the local price of pure gold.

Under the new rates, 22-carat gold is priced at Tk 247,977 per bhori (11.664 grams). 21-carat gold is set at Tk 236,721 per bhori, 18-carat gold at Tk 202,895, and traditional gold at Tk 165,279 per bhori.

BAJUS had last revised gold prices just a day earlier, on March 31, with the same Tk 3,266 increase. So far in 2026, gold prices have been adjusted 51 times, with 30 increases and 21 decreases.

Despite the gold hike, silver prices remained unchanged. Currently, 22-carat silver sells at Tk 5,715 per bhori, 21-carat at Tk 5,424, 18-carat at Tk 4,666, and traditional silver at Tk 3,499. In 2026, silver rates have changed 30 times, with 17 increases and 13 decreases.
