A Bangladeshi trade delegation has arrived in Brazil, launching a 10-day mission aimed at strengthening cooperation in agriculture and livestock and unlocking new investment opportunities.

The mission, which began on April 20, brings together more than 200 delegates from Bangladesh, Brazil and several African countries, focusing on technical partnerships and sectoral development.

Participants from Bangladesh include livestock and agro-processing entrepreneurs, agricultural scientists and policy experts seeking to modernise the country’s food production systems.

Brazilian stakeholders have expressed strong interest in supporting the initiative through technology transfer and collaboration.

The proposed cooperation includes sharing advanced genetic techniques for cattle breeding, investing in agro-processing infrastructure, and facilitating direct knowledge exchange between scientists to improve productivity.

The delegation is scheduled to visit cattle breeding centres and processing plants during the tour, with preliminary investment agreements expected to be finalised.

Officials see the mission as a step towards enhancing value-added food production and strengthening Bangladesh’s agro-industrial capacity through global partnerships.
