LONGi Solar, the world’s largest solar panel manufacturer, has introduced its latest back-contact (BC) photovoltaic modules in Bangladesh, signalling growing interest in the country’s renewable energy market.
The new technology was unveiled at the “LONGi High-Efficiency BC Techie Bangladesh Forum” in Dhaka on Monday, where industry experts, corporate leaders and international business representatives gathered to discuss the future of solar power.
Executives from major Bangladeshi groups including Orion Group, Pran-RFL Group, Omera Solar, Teesta Solar, Flo Solar, Confidence Power, UCC, X-Index Group and Rahimafrooz attended the event.
LONGi officials, including regional heads Talisman Hua and Sandy Jia, along with Senior Sales Manager Ahsan Huda, presented the company’s newest innovations.
A key highlight of the forum was the launch of the “Hi-MO X10 Anti-Dust Pro” module, designed to reduce performance losses caused by dust, sand and mud buildup on solar panels.
The company said environmental soiling can lower energy generation by as much as 30 per cent, while the new anti-dust technology significantly reduces such losses.
LONGi also introduced its “Ultimate Back Contact PV Modules”, which it described as a major step forward in solar efficiency and power generation performance.
Organisers said the technology could open new opportunities for Bangladesh’s industrial and utility-scale solar projects, helping the country move closer to global standards in clean energy adoption.
