The 40th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the state-owned Rupali Bank PLC was held. The meeting took place on Sunday (19 July) in a hybrid format at the bank’s head office in Dilkusha, Dhaka.The meeting was chaired by the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the bank, Md. Nazrul Huda.Representing the government, Joint Secretary of the Financial Institutions Division under the Ministry of Finance, Kamrul Haque Maruf, attended the meeting. Managing Director of the bank, Kazi Md. Wahidul Islam, delivered the welcome address. Among the bank’s directors, A.H.M. Moin Uddin also addressed the meeting.At the meeting, the bank’s audited financial statements for the year 2025 were presented. All proposals placed before the meeting, as per the agenda, were unanimously approved by the shareholders.Directors Md. Abu Yusuf Mia, A.B.M. Shawkat Iqbal Shaheen, and Saiful Islam were also present. Deputy Managing Directors Tahmina Akhtar, Hasan Tanvir, and Md. Harunur Rashid also participated in the meeting. The meeting was conducted by the bank’s Company Secretary, Mohammad Shahedur Rahman, and was attended by a significant number of shareholders both in person and virtually.
