Stocks Rally Early on DSE

Dhaka, July 2— The Dhaka Stock Exchange rebounded in early trading today, reversing yesterday’s losses as investors re-engaged with the market.

By 11:32 am, the benchmark DSEX index had climbed 26.68 points (0.55 percent) to 4,865.07. The Shariah-compliant DSES index advanced 0.58 percent to 1,066.93, while the blue-chip DS30 edged up 0.04 percent to 1,816.84.

Turnover stood at Tk 204.93 crore by mid-morning, reflecting renewed trading interest.

Among the 388 stocks traded, 285 advanced, 55 declined and 48 remained unchanged. Islami Bank Bangladesh led gainers with a 12 percent surge, while Standard Bank PLC posted the steepest fall at 6 percent.

This early uptick points to improving sentiment, though market watchers will be watching afternoon sessions for sustained momentum.
