Stocks at the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) opened lower today, snapping a three-day winning streak as the benchmark index edged down in morning trade.
By 11:14 am, the DSEX shed 10.07 points, or 0.18%, to 5,409.83. The blue-chip DS30 slipped 0.07% to 2,100.23, while the Shariah-based DSES defied the trend, rising 1.99% to 1,186.52.
Turnover stood at Tk 375.85 crore, reflecting steady investor participation in the early session. Market breadth was relatively balanced, with 158 issues advancing, 152 declining, and 82 remaining unchanged.
On the scrips front, Information Services Network led the gainers, climbing 9%, while Samata Leather Complex posted the sharpest fall, down 4%.
