The Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation (HSBC) has launched the ninth edition of its Export Excellence Awards to recognise outstanding contributions of Bangladeshi exporters in global trade.

HSBC Bangladesh CEO Md Mahbub ur Rahman inaugurated the programme on Monday (18 August) at the Pan Pacific Sonargaon Hotel in Dhaka.

“Through this award, we celebrate the achievements of businesses and entrepreneurs across the country and their relentless efforts in strengthening Bangladesh’s position on the global stage,” Mahbub said at the launch.

He added that HSBC takes pride in supporting exporters who are taking “Made in Bangladesh” to international markets while boosting the national economy.

HSBC Bangladesh Country Head of Communications, Talukdar Noman Anwar, announced that nomination forms are open for submission via the bank’s website until 18 September. The awards ceremony is scheduled for late November or early December, with winners receiving the ‘Exporter of the Year’ recognition.

Launched in 2010, the HSBC Export Excellence Awards honour enterprises and entrepreneurs for their role in strengthening international trade. The 2025 edition is supported by the Ministry of Commerce and the British High Commission in Dhaka, with KPMG Advisory Services Limited serving as technical partner and auditor.
