NCC Bank has earned a place among the Top 10 Sustainable Banks in Bangladesh, following the Sustainability Rating 2024 conducted by the central bank.
The rating assessed performance across five areas: core banking sustainability, green and sustainable finance, banking coverage, corporate social responsibility (CSR), and green refinance.
At a ceremony on August 20, 2025, Bangladesh Bank Governor Dr. Ahsan H. Mansur handed over the Certificate of Excellence and Crest to NCC Bank’s Managing Director M. Shamsul Arefin. Senior officials from Bangladesh Bank and NCC Bank were also present.
“This is the first time NCC Bank has been recognised as a Sustainable Bank, and it marks a significant milestone in our journey,” said Arefin. He added that the recognition reflects the bank’s commitment to strong corporate governance, responsible banking, and inclusive growth through green financing, technology-driven innovation, and CSR initiatives.
NCC Bank said it will continue to promote sustainable finance and environmentally responsible practices to strengthen customer trust and support Bangladesh’s long-term economic development.
