National Bank Holds Card Business Conference

Focus on digital banking, customer trust and market expansion

National Bank PLC organised a Card Business Conference on 25 August 2025 at its Training Institute, with participation from branch managers and officials of the Dhaka North and South regions. Many managers also joined the event virtually via Zoom, the bank said in a press release.

Imran Ahmed, Deputy Managing Director, attended as the chief guest. Other senior officials present included Kazi Kamal Uddin Ahmed, Deputy Managing Director (In-charge); Md. Rajunur Rashid, EVP & Head of Branch Operations Division; Ashish Kumar Laskar, EVP & Regional Manager, Dhaka South; A.S.M. Helal Uddin, SVP & Regional Manager, Dhaka North; and Ujjal Kumar Paul, VP & Head of Cards (CC).

The conference discussed strategies to expand the card business and improve service quality, focusing on market insights, customer feedback, business growth opportunities, strategic partnerships, and innovative approaches for wider market penetration.

Speaking on the occasion, Chief Guest Imran Ahmed underlined the rising significance of digital banking in the evolving financial sector. He noted that card-based transactions play a pivotal role in delivering secure services and building customer trust. He urged officials to remain committed, professional, and customer-centric to strengthen National Bank’s competitiveness in the market.
