MTB Foundation launches ‘JolTorongo’ project in Lakshmipur

Initiative to ensure safe water and sanitation for vulnerable communities

MTB Foundation has inaugurated a Water Access Hub and Sanitation Facilities under its ‘JolTorongo’ project in Char Alexander of Lakshmipur, aiming to ease the region’s long-standing safe water and sanitation crisis.

The initiative is designed to provide clean drinking water and modern sanitation facilities for a large underprivileged community, enhancing dignity, privacy, and health standards. It also supports the achievement of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 3 (Good Health and Well-Being), 6 (Clean Water and Sanitation), and 15 (Life on Land).

The facilities were inaugurated by MTB Foundation Chief Executive Officer Samia Chowdhury and Associate Golam Rabbani. Wahidul Islam Sikder, Director of Shepherds Bangladesh, was also present at the event.
