Shahjalal Islami Bank PLC has shifted its Muradpur branch to a new, larger location at Wazihunbagh, Mirjarpul, Holding No. 7, Katalganj, Panchlaish, Chattogram, beginning banking operations on August 31, 2025.

The relocated branch was formally inaugurated by Managing Director Mosleh Uddin Ahmed as chief guest. Deputy Managing Director and Chattogram Zonal Head Rashed Sarwar attended as special guest, while Branch Manager Md Manzur Hossain Khan presided over the ceremony.

The move aims to provide better services to clients and meet growing customer demands. Special guests at the programme included Syed Nasir, Managing Director of Exclusive Can Limited; Dr Rezaul Karim, Managing Director of Parkview Hospital Limited; and Mahfuzul Haque, Chairman of Equity Properties & Building Owner.

Other attendees included branch managers from Chattogram, customers, local businessmen, and well-wishers. The ceremony also featured Holy Quran recitation, Durood, and Doa Mahfil to pray for the branch’s prosperity, moderated by K. M. Harunur Rashid, In-Charge of the bank’s Public Relations Division & Foundation.
