To celebrate the Youth Festival 2025, state-owned BASIC Bank Limited has inaugurated “Fortnightly-long Customer Service”, starting from 19 October to 2 November 2025. The initiative is part of the program undertaken by the Financial Institutions Division (FID) of the Ministry of Finance in state-owned commercial banks, specialized banks, and financial institutions.
The inaugural ceremony was held on Sunday, 19 October 2025, at the Bank’s Head Office in Motijheel. Helal Ahmed Chowdhoury, Chairman of the Board of Directors, graced the event as the Chief Guest and formally inaugurated the program. Sheikh Farid, Joint Secretary of FID and Director of BASIC Bank, attended as the Special Guest, while Md. Quamruzzaman Khan, Managing Director & CEO of the Bank, presided over the ceremony.
On the occasion, the Bank also launched a new deposit product titled “Porua Savings Scheme”, designed to encourage savings habits among students and the younger generation in the virtual presence of branch and sub-branch heads of the Bank.
Among others, Deputy Managing Directors Abu Md. Mofazzel and Subhash Chandra Das, FCA, FCMA, General Managers Md. Ismail, Md. Momenul Hoque, Md. Nashir Uddin, Sumit Ranjan Nath, Md. Hasan Imam, Md. Ghulam Sayeed Khan, Saidur Rahman Sohel, Nurur Rahman Chowdhury (GM–CC), along with the heads of Main and Dilkusha branches and various divisional heads, were present at the event.
In the ceremony, speakers emphasized the importance of ensuring quality, prompt, and technology-driven customer service across all branches during the observance period. They also urged officials and employees to serve customers with professionalism, empathy, and dedication.
