The election to the board of directors of the Chittagong Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI), the country’s oldest trade body, will be held on November 1 for the 2025–26 and 2026–27 terms.
The Ministry of Commerce–appointed election board announced the schedule, stating that nomination papers will be available from September 14 to 20, with the submission deadline set for September 21. The full schedule is posted on the chamber’s website: www.chittagongchamber.com.
The upcoming vote follows the September 2, 2024 resignation of the previous CCCI committee—including all 24 directors and President Omar Hajjaz—after the country’s political changeover. Their resignations were submitted to the Ministry of Commerce.
