Dhaka Stocks Edge Lower as Turnover Reaches Tk 237cr

Stocks on the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) slipped in morning trade today, snapping the previous session’s gains.

By 12:10 pm, the benchmark DSEX index was down 7.58 points, or 0.14 percent, at 5,339.88, DSE data showed. The Shariah-based DSES ticked up slightly, while the blue-chip DS30 edged lower.

Turnover stood at Tk 237.34 crore, reflecting moderate investor activity. Market breadth was mixed, with 184 scrips advancing, 132 declining, and 77 remaining unchanged.

On the movers’ list, Miracle Industries surged 9.71 percent to top the gainers, while Emerald Oil Industries dropped 9.47 percent, the steepest fall so far.
