Dhaka Stocks Rise for Third Consecutive Session

Turnover hits Tk 340 crore as investor sentiment strengthens

Shares on the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) climbed in morning trade on Wednesday, marking the third straight session of gains.

The DSEX, the benchmark index, rose 53.27 points, or 0.98 percent, to 5,445.92 by 12:06 pm, according to DSE data. The Shariah-compliant DSES and the blue-chip DS30 indices also posted gains, reflecting broad-based positive sentiment.

Investor activity remained robust, with turnover reaching Tk 340.68 crore. Market breadth was strongly positive, with 292 issues advancing, 49 declining, and 53 remaining unchanged.

Prime Finance & Investment led the gainers, surging 10 percent, while CVO Petrochemical Refinery recorded the steepest decline, slipping 3.63 percent.

Analysts attributed the upward momentum to continued investor confidence and renewed buying interest across key sectors.
