The South Asia Trade Fair with the participation of SAARC member countries will kick off in Dhaka on Thursday for a four-day run.
Commerce Adviser Sk Bashir Uddin will inaugurate the event at the International Convention City Bashundhara (ICCB) in the morning.
The exhibition will feature a diverse range of products, including ready-made garments and textiles, gems and jewellery, cosmetics, leather goods, home appliances, kitchenware, processed food items and electronics.
The fair is being jointly organised by the SAARC Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) and the Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI).
Business leaders along with the Director of the SAARC Secretariat will attend the inaugural ceremony.
Over 100 companies from across South Asian countries are expected to showcase their products and services at the fair.
In addition to product displays, participants will have the opportunity to attend business networking programmes, B2B sessions, thematic sessions and discussions.
The fair will remain open to visitors from 11 am to 10 pm daily from September 18 to 21.
