EBL Securities PLC has organised an “Investor Awareness Program” in Dhaka to enhance investor knowledge and promote informed participation in the capital market.
The session, held at the company’s head office in Motijheel on Sunday, was conducted by the EBL Securities research team under the guidance of senior management. The initiative reflects the firm’s commitment to improving financial literacy and helping investors make prudent investment decisions.
Head of Research Mohammad Rehan Kabir delivered the keynote presentation, covering the current macroeconomic outlook, recent market developments, investment strategies, risk management, and the benefits of long-term investments in fundamental stocks. His address was followed by an interactive Q&A session.
He noted that Bangladesh’s capital market is poised to follow trends seen in Pakistan and Sri Lanka, where easing inflation and falling treasury yields triggered rallies. With improving economic indicators, he said, the country is on the threshold of a potential bull market.
The program was attended by members of the research team — Md Rashedur Rahman Ratul, Rayhan Ahmed, AKM Arif Uzzaman, and Zuhaier Shams — alongside senior executives.
EBL Securities said it plans to arrange such sessions regularly to empower investors and support the sustainable development of Bangladesh’s capital market. A subsidiary of Eastern Bank PLC, the brokerage is recognised for its compliance standards, research depth, and technology-driven solutions for local and international clients.
