The meeting took place on Wednesday at ACRA’s office in Singapore, with Assistant Chief Executive Kuldip Gil leading the Singaporean delegation. The FRC team also included Anik Kumar Mallick, standard-setting officer of the Standards-Setting Division.

Discussions centered on enhancing accountability in financial and sustainability reporting, improving auditing practices, and advancing corporate governance frameworks. Both sides also exchanged views on digital reporting systems, professional development, and the alignment of accounting and auditing standards.

Officials from both authorities expressed strong interest in joint initiatives, technical exchanges, and knowledge-sharing programs, viewing the engagement as a step toward a long-term partnership.

The initiative underscores Bangladesh’s growing commitment to good governance and sustainable economic growth through international collaboration.
