The Institute of Chartered Secretaries of Bangladesh (ICSB) has elected a new 13-member council for the 2025–2028 term.
The sixth council election, held on Saturday at Pan Pacific Sonargaon Dhaka under the Chartered Secretaries Act, 2010, saw 519 members cast their votes in a festive atmosphere.
Thirty candidates contested the polls, with 13 securing council seats. The newly elected members are Mohammad Shahajahan FCS, Hossain Sadat FCS, Md. Sharif Hasan FCS, Mohammad Abdullah Al Mamun FCS, Mohammad Shafiqul Islam Bhuiyan FCS, Md. Mizanur Rahman FCS, Khondakar Nasir Uddin Mahmud FCS, Md. Humayun Kabir FCS, Md. Rafiqul Islam FCS, Mohammed Harun-Ar-Rashid FCS, M Nurul Alam FCS, Md. Robiul Islam FCS, and M Mazedul Islam FCS.
Following the results, Premier Bank PLC congratulated M Nurul Alam, who also serves as an Independent Director of the bank and Chairman of Premier Bank Securities Limited.
