Janata Bank PLC has introduced two new digital services — the NFC-enabled Taka Pay Card and an E-Credit Management System — as part of its push toward digital transformation and improved customer experience.

The initiatives were unveiled on Sunday during the bank’s Tarunner Utsab (Youth Festival) 2025. The event also marked the start of Janata Bank’s Customer Service Fortnight, a campaign to promote digital banking and efficient service delivery.

The Taka Pay Card allows contactless payments using near-field communication (NFC) technology, while the E-Credit Management System will streamline loan processing and disbursement, reducing paperwork and processing time.

Special Assistant to the Chief Adviser Dr. Anisuzzaman Chowdhury inaugurated the Taka Pay Card, highlighting the role of technology in expanding access to financial services. Nazma Mobarek, Secretary of the Financial Institutions Division, launched the E-Credit Management System, calling it “a step forward in the country’s journey toward smart banking.”

Janata Bank Chairman Md. Fazlur Rahman presided over the event, noting that digital innovation is key to ensuring better, faster, and more transparent banking services.
