Mutual Trust Bank signs payroll banking, cash management service deal with East West University

Mutual Trust Bank PLC (MTB) has signed a payroll banking and cash management services agreement with East West University to provide comprehensive payroll solutions and cash management support for the university’s teaching and non-teaching staff, as well as its students.

Prof Mohammed Farashuddin, chairperson of the Board of Trustees at East West University, and Syed Mahbubur Rahman, managing director and chief executive officer of Mutual Trust Bank PLC, signed the agreement at a ceremony held on the university’s Aftabnagar campus in Dhaka recently, according to a press release.

Under the agreement, MTB will collect the university’s tuition fees, facilitate all payment-related services, and provide payroll banking solutions for university employees.

Prof Shams Rahman, vice-chancellor; Prof Mohammad Ashik Mosaddik, pro-vice-chancellor; Air Cdre (retd) Ishfaq Ilahi Choudhury, treasurer; Mashfiqur Rahman, registrar; and Md Touhidul Islam, director of finance, attended the event.

Md Shafquat Hossain, deputy managing director and head of the retail banking division at MTB; Tahsin Taher, head of retail segment; Mohammad Ashik Iqbal Khan, head of cash management, transaction banking; and Rashid Ahmed Bin Wali, head of payroll banking, along with other senior officials from both organisations, were also present.
