NCC Bank PLC has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) to facilitate the digital collection of municipal taxes and fees, including holding tax, trade license fees, market salami, hotel tax, and wheel tax.

Under the agreement, DNCC residents can now make payments through any NCC Bank branch nationwide or via the bank’s digital platforms such as the ‘NCC Always’ app and CRM channels, ensuring faster and more transparent transactions.

The MoU was signed at a ceremony in Dhaka, where DNCC Secretary Mohammad Ashaduz Zaman and NCC Bank Managing Director M. Shamsul Arefin exchanged documents on behalf of their respective organizations.

Senior officials from both institutions attended the event, including Brigadier General Imrul-Al-Quais Chowdhury, Chief Health Officer of DNCC, and Mohammed Mizanur Rahman, Deputy Managing Director and CFO of NCC Bank, among others.

NCC Bank Managing Director M. Shamsul Arefin said the collaboration will enhance citizen convenience and strengthen DNCC’s revenue collection system.
“This partnership marks a milestone in delivering citizen services through our branch network and digital channels,” he said. “By integrating technology with banking services, we are enabling a seamless and real-time payment experience that supports transparency and promotes a cashless society.”
