Nestlé Bangladesh PLC’s export operations take a bold new turn.
Nutritious infant cereal Nestle Ceregro is now being exported to Sri Lanka. The company has started a new chapter by exporting this product manufactured at Nestle Bangladesh’s factory in Sripur, Gazipur.
Sri Lanka’s High Commissioner to Bangladesh Dharmapala Weerakkody was present at an inaugural ceremony organized on this occasion. He highlighted the importance of strong trade relations and cooperation in regional development between Bangladesh and Sri Lanka.
Deepal Abeywickrama, Chairman and Managing Director of Nestle Bangladesh PLC, said, “We are maintaining the 155-year tradition of the Nestle Group by providing quality products and utilizing every opportunity for international expansion. We say with confidence that we will continue to explore new market opportunities.”
Sri Lanka-Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SLBCCI) President Nazith Miwanage was also present at the event.
The world-renowned Nestle has been working to improve nutrition in Bangladesh for the past 31 years. The company currently contributes to the employment of about 20,000 families.
