Prime Bank empowers Chattogram women entrepreneurs

Over 130 participants join ‘Prime Neera’ training to boost SME skills and financial literacy

Prime Bank PLC recently hosted a special training program in Chattogram to support women-led small and medium enterprises (SMEs) under its flagship initiative “Prime Neera – SME Women Entrepreneurs Training and Development Program.”

Held at Hotel Agrabad, the event brought together more than 130 women entrepreneurs, including clients of Prime Bank and members of the Chattogram Women Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CWCCI).

The training aimed to strengthen participants’ expertise in business management, financial planning, and market expansion, while motivating women to play a more dynamic role in the country’s SME sector.

The session was presided over by Sarker Mehedi Reza, Chattogram Regional Head of Prime Bank PLC. Also present were Sheikh Nur Alam, Head of Small Business & Refinance; Fatema Akter Naz, Business Development Manager; and several branch managers from the Chattogram region. Abida Mustafa, President of CWCCI, attended as the special guest.

Speakers highlighted the importance of women’s empowerment, business innovation, and the use of digital banking tools to expand and sustain women-led enterprises across Bangladesh.
