Remittance Grows 15.4pc to $5.4b in FY26 till Sept 6

Expatriates send $516m in first six days of September

Remittance inflow to Bangladesh rose by 15.4 per cent year-on-year, reaching US$5.42 billion in the first two months and six days of the current fiscal year (FY26), according to Bangladesh Bank data.

During the same period last fiscal year, remittances stood at $4.69 billion.

In just the first six days of September, Bangladeshi expatriates sent home around $516 million through formal channels, the central bank data shows.
