Bangladesh received $1.13 billion in remittances in the first 10 days of September, up 19.3% year-on-year, according to Bangladesh Bank data released Thursday.

During the same period last year, inflows stood at $949 million.

From July 1 to September 10 of FY2025-26, expatriates sent $6.03 billion, compared with $5.09 billion in the corresponding period of the previous fiscal year.

The central bank attributed the robust inflows to sustained demand for foreign workers and government incentives encouraging the use of formal channels.
