State-owned Rupali Bank PLC has rolled out its modern mobile banking service “Rupalicash” under its own brand, aiming to bring convenient digital financial services to the mass people.
The service was officially inaugurated on Thursday (25 September) at the bank’s head office in Dilkusha by Managing Director Kazi Md Wahidul Islam.
Speaking at the launch, he highlighted that Rupali Bank is the only state-owned bank offering its own mobile financial service. Through Rupalicash, customers can open e-KYC based accounts, deposit and withdraw cash, transfer funds between wallets, check balance and transaction statements, receive and disburse salaries, recharge mobiles, and pay merchant bills, among other financial transactions.
Deputy Managing Directors Parsuma Alam, Hasan Tanvir and Md Harunur Rashid, along with Rafeya Akter Kanta, Director of Bangladesh Bank’s Payment Systems Department, were present at the event.
Also in attendance were senior officials from Bangladesh Bank, including Additional Director Md Kamrul Islam, Jayanta Kumar Bhoumik, Joint Director Sarker Mohammad Amir Khasru, and Assistant Director Nusrat Jahan Nishi.
From Rupali Bank, Company Secretary and General Manager Mohammad Shahedur Rahman, senior executives Mohammad Shahjahan Chowdhury, Md Ismail Hossain Sheikh, Mohammad Safayet Hossain, Md Noman Mia, Salamun Nesha, Tanvir Hasnain Moin, Abu Naser Mohammad Masud, Sheikh Manjur Karim, and Chief Information Technology Officer Md Ohidul Islam Sarker, along with other top officials, attended the programme.
