Shahjalal Islami Bank PLC has provided Tk 500,000 in financial assistance to a poor farmer and rickshaw puller from Muradnagar upazila of Cumilla for the medical treatment of his wife and child.
The donation, made under the bank’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme, was handed over on September 8 at a ceremony held at the bank’s corporate head office.
Imtiaz U. Ahmed, Managing Director (Current Charge) of Shahjalal Islami Bank, presented the cheque to the beneficiary, Md Mehedi Hasan.
Senior bank officials, including SEVP & Company Secretary Md Abul Bashar, SAVP Md Jakir Hossain, Public Relations Division & Bank Foundation In-Charge K. M. Harunur Rashid, and Executive Officer of Bank Foundation Md Kamal Miah, were also present at the event.
