Southeast Bank PLC has inaugurated nine new agent banking outlets under its “Shagotom” brand, expanding access to formal banking services across rural and semi-urban areas in Feni, Tangail, Cumilla, Noakhali, Dhaka, and Manikganj.

According to a press release, the initiative is part of the bank’s ongoing effort to promote financial inclusion and extend modern banking facilities to underserved communities.

Abidur Rahman Chowdhury, Managing Director (Current Charge) of Southeast Bank PLC, virtually inaugurated the new outlets, with senior officials from the bank’s head office, branch heads, and outlet proprietors attending the ceremony.

Southeast Bank’s “Shagotom” agent banking outlets provide a wide range of conventional and Islamic (Tijarah) banking services, including account opening, cash deposit and withdrawal, fund transfers through BEFTN and RTGS, and foreign remittance services.

Customers can also process cheque books, debit and credit cards, open BO accounts, conduct share transactions, and apply for micro, medium, and agricultural loans with insurance benefits. Additional services include utility bill payments, loan installment collections, government allowance disbursement, and internet banking access.

The bank said customers will also enjoy 24/7 banking convenience through Recycler ATMs installed at the new outlets.
