Stocks open higher on DSE, CSE

Both markets see early gains as indices edge up in first hour of trade

Bangladesh’s capital market started the week on a positive note, with key indices at both the Dhaka and Chattogram stock exchanges moving upward in the first hour of trading on Monday.

At the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), the benchmark DSEX gained 35 points, while the DSES rose 13 points and the DS30 added 8 points. Turnover crossed Tk 140 crore during the early session.
Among 311 traded stocks, 257 advanced, 31 declined, and 23 remained unchanged.

The Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) also saw early optimism. Its all-share index was up 18 points in the first hour, with 44 issues gaining, 25 losing, and 8 remaining flat. Turnover stood at over Tk 5 crore.

Both markets continued to show positive momentum as investors engaged in active early-hour trading.
