Eastern Bank PLC (EBL) has signed an agreement with DGePay, the country’s first licensed Payment System Operator (PSO), to enhance its online payment gateway services.
The agreement was signed at EBL’s head office in Dhaka, with M. Khorshed Anowar, Deputy Managing Director and Head of Retail and SME Banking of EBL, and Shafquat Matin, Director of DGePay, representing their respective organizations.
Also present were Faisal M. Fathe-Ul Islam, Head of M-Commerce and E-Commerce of EBL, and Md. Masuduzzaman, Head of Sales of DGePay, along with other senior officials.
The partnership is expected to facilitate seamless online transactions, boosting the country’s growing e-commerce and digital payment ecosystem.
