Janata Bank PLC organised its Chattogram divisional half-yearly branch managers’ conference on Thursday (25 September) at a local hotel.
Chairman Md Fazlur Rahman attended the event as chief guest, while Managing Director Md Mojibur Rahman and Deputy Managing Director Md Golam Mortuza were present as special guests. The conference was presided over by Divisional General Manager-in-Charge Mahiuddin Mohammad Aurangzeb and attended by branch managers and executives under the divisional office.
Ahead of the conference, the MD inaugurated and conducted a session on financial literacy at Janata Bank Regional Staff College in Chattogram.
Speaking at the conference, Chairman Md Fazlur Rahman advised branch managers to ensure loans are disbursed only to clients with a proven repayment mindset. He stressed focusing on quality borrowers to reduce risks in the lending portfolio.
Managing Director Md Mojibur Rahman, in his address, urged managers to reinvest deposits in the same areas where they are mobilised, in order to support local businesses and strengthen regional economies.
