Dhaka Bank PLC has conducted a “Financial Literacy & Career Counselling Program” for students of Independent University, Bangladesh (IUB), aiming to equip young learners with essential financial knowledge and career planning skills. The event took place on 14 October 2025 at the IUB campus in Bashundhara R/A, in collaboration with the university’s Office of Career Guidance, Placement and Alumni Relations (CGP&AR).

The session, led by Md. Mostaque Ahmed, Deputy Managing Director of Dhaka Bank, featured discussions on financial discipline, goal setting, and early career planning. His presentation encouraged students to align their ambitions with sound financial management and personal growth strategies.

Professor Daniel Wesley Lund, Pro-Vice Chancellor of IUB, attended as a distinguished guest and emphasized how financial literacy fosters independence, responsible decision-making, and long-term stability among youth.

Senior executives from Dhaka Bank—including H.M. Mostafizur Rahman, Md. Shofiur Rahman, Syed Ghulam Dastagir, Shams Rumana Rimi, and Mohammad Saifur Rahman—were also present at the event.

Following the session, the bank launched a three-day Student Banking Campaign (14–16 October) at the IUB campus, offering instant digital account opening and introducing students to Dhaka Bank’s youth-focused financial products and services.

The initiative, themed “Empowering Tomorrow’s Leaders with Financial Confidence,” reflects Dhaka Bank’s ongoing commitment to promoting financial literacy, youth engagement, and inclusive banking for the next generation.
