The Bangladesh Jewellers’ Association (BAJUS) has raised the price of gold by Tk 2,216 per bhori, reversing a cut announced just a day earlier.

According to a notice issued by the BAJUS Standing Committee on Pricing and Price Monitoring, the revised prices came into effect from 10:00 am on Friday.

With the latest adjustment, the price of 22-carat gold—the highest-quality gold in the local market—has been set at Tk 224,182 per bhori (11.664 grams), including VAT.

BAJUS said the price was increased following a rise in the price of pure gold in the domestic market.
