The Senior International Cooperation and Integration Project (SICIP) under the Ministry of Planning has successfully completed a 25-day Executive Development Program (EDP) titled “Good Governance in Public Administration” at the Bangladesh Public Administration Training Centre (BPATC).
The program started on July 15, 2025, and was attended by 50 senior officials from various ministries, divisions, and departments including the Ministry of Planning and the SICIP Project Implementation Unit (SICIP-PIU). The training focused on leadership, policy-making, administration, and good governance principles.
At the closing ceremony, the Secretary of the Ministry of Planning, who is also the project director of SICIP-PIU, Mr. Md. Anwarul Islam, emphasized the government’s commitment to strengthening governance and institutional capacity as part of sustainable development goals. He highlighted the importance of training programs like this in improving public service delivery and administrative efficiency.
The Secretary expressed hope that the knowledge and skills gained from this program will positively impact governance practices in Bangladesh’s public sector.
