DSE Extends Gains for Sixth Session in a Row

Dhaka, July 22:
Stocks on the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) edged higher in early trading today, extending their winning streak for the sixth consecutive session.

By 10:46 AM, the DSEX, the benchmark index of the prime bourse, inched up 2.18 points or 0.04% to 5,221.80.

Performance across other indices was mixed. The DSES Index, which tracks Shariah-compliant stocks, rose 0.05% to 1,147.45, while the blue-chip DS30 index dipped 0.13% to 1,994.14.

Turnover stood at Tk 158.91 crore during the morning session, reflecting moderate investor activity.

Market breadth remained positive, with 164 issues advancing, 120 declining, and 92 remaining unchanged.

Among individual performers, Uttara Finance and Investments led the gainers, soaring 9%, while International Leasing & Financial Services was the biggest loser, shedding 6%.
