Govt to Award Export Trophy, CIP Status for FY2024-25

Written by The Banking Post

The government has decided to confer the National Export Trophy and CIP (Commercially Important Person) status for the fiscal year 2024-25, aiming to recognise outstanding contributions to the country’s export sector.

According to sources, exporters and exporting firms will be selected under 36 categories for the Export Trophy and 35 sectors for the CIP status. Both local and foreign companies operating in Bangladesh are eligible to apply.

The Export Promotion Bureau (EPB), the state-run export promotion agency, has issued a notification inviting applications by August 31, 2025. Firms with export earnings ranging from US$1 million to US$70 million are eligible to apply for both distinctions.

Awardees will be selected based on the National Export Trophy Policy 2022 and the CIP (Export) Policy 2023. The Export Trophy will be given in three categories—gold, silver, and bronze.

CIP cardholders are entitled to various government privileges, including priority reservations in airlines, railways, and road and water transport, officials said.
