Shahjalal Islami Bank PLC has provided a sponsorship of Tk 2 million (Twenty lakh) for the “Hajj and Umrah Fair 2025” organized by the Hajj Agencies Association of Bangladesh (HAAB).
On 7 August 2025, at a ceremony held at the bank’s corporate head office, the Managing Director of Shahjalal Islami Bank, Mr. Mosleh Uddin Ahmed, handed over the sponsorship cheque to HAAB President Syed Golam Sarwar.
Present at the cheque handover were HAAB Secretary General Mr. Farid Ahmed Majumder, Additional Managing Director of Shahjalal Islami Bank Mr. Imtiaz U. Ahmed, Company Secretary Mr. Md. Abul Bashar, the bank’s CFO Mr. Md. Zafar Sadeq, FCA, Head of Investment Risk Management Mr. Md. Amjad Hossain, Head of Shariah Inspection and Compliance Department Maulana Md. Farid Uddin, SVP Mr. Md. Zakir Hossain, and the bank’s JVP & In-charge of Public Relations and Bank Foundation Mr. K. M. Harunur Rashid.
The three-day “Hajj and Umrah Fair 2025” will be held from 14–16 August 2025 at the Bangladesh-China Friendship Conference Center (BCFCC) in Sher-e-Bangla Nagar, Agargaon, Dhaka. According to the organizers, the fair will be visited by intending Hajj and Umrah pilgrims, various agencies, numerous visitors, and their relatives.
